INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION |
Panevėžys County is ready to cooperate with different foreign regions. Panevėžys County Governor's Administration and the County municipalities are active in international cooperation having concluded cooperation agreements enhancing regional development and participation in the EU projects and programs. |
• 27 April, 2006 Agreement of cooperation between Panevėžys County Governor's Administration and Oswiecim District ( Poland ) administration in municipal activities, educational, medical services, social care, culture and sports. |
• 9 December, 2005 - Agreement of commercial economical, scientific technical and cultural Cooperation between Panevėžys County Governor's Administration and the State Administration of Ivano Frankivsk Region ( Ukraine ). |
• 9 September, 2004 - Agreement of Cooperation between Panevėžys County Governor's Administration and the Executive Committee of Gomel Region ( Belarus ) in order to develop commercial economical, scientific technical and cultural cooperation relationships. |
• 13 December, 2003 - Agreement of Cooperation between Panevėžys County Governor's Administration and Laane-Viru County Government (Estonia) in order to develop commercial, economical, scientific, cultural and educational cooperation. |

• 18 October, 2003 - partnership enhancement by signing Agreement of Cooperation between Panevėžys County Governor's Administration and Kalmar County Administrative Board ( Sweden ). Its goal the exchange of information and regional experience, promotion of initiatives taking part in joint EU projects, enhancing economical potential of regional development, improving foreign investment, promotion of the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, development of cultural and educational exchange, etc. |
