Modern exhibits are worth seeing in Pasvalys Etnography museum. Pasvalys has a special geological monument the Greenish Spring is gushing out of the subsided hollow. A Stapulionis outfitted Quern Museum abounds with 400 bowl stones and edge-stones in his farmstead.
Pasvalys ir Biržai districts are located in the Karst phenomena area. Deep underground clay strata are slowly sculptured by water. Subterranean cavities are formed in the meantime, the above soil layer falls down and subsided hollows are shaped. Cow's Cave is the biggest hollow near Biržai.
Biržai City is known for its history. In the 17 th century Lithuanian noblemen Radvilos built a bastion fortress. Nowadays Sėla museum was founded there. Biržai is the starting place of the famous tourist route Ways of Beer in Lithuania . It is very pleasant to have a walk on the shores of artificial Širvena lake or along a 500 meters long pedestrian bridge.
The sculptures of a talented artist Henrikas Orakauskas adorn Kupiškis City . The district has the most famous baroque ensemble St. Dominic Church and an old Jacobin Monastery close to it. Water sports amateurs enjoy kayaking in the river Lėvuo.
The Church of St. Apostle Mathew Evangelist , the most outstanding neo-gothic ensemble of Lithuania , is located in Rokiškis centre. Etnography Museum is founded in the palace of Rokiškis mansion. One can admire the unique exhibition of L.Šepka wood - carvings. Many tourists visit Witches' Museum.
